  	Nels A. Nelson, 84, died Thursday morning 6 a.m. at the Sycamore Hospital where he was a patient since last Friday when he fell from the roof of a milk house while painting. He sustained a brain concussion and broken collar bone and ribs. Mr. Nelson was born May 9, 1868 in Solvesborg, Sweden, to Nels and Benghta Johnson Nelson and brought to this country when 2 years old, the family settling on a farm near Sycamore. On August 6, 1903 he was married to Julia Gronberg, who survives with daughters Mrs. Herbert Housewert Sr. of Cortland, and Mrs. Emil Bocklund of Cortland and a son Carl Nelson of Sycamore. A sister, Mrs. Anna Johnson lives in DeKalb. There are four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mr. Nelson operated a restaurant in Sycamore for 13 years, but then returned to farming. Eight years ago he retired but continued to live at his farm. He is a member of the Viking Lodge. The funeral service is Saturday at the Johnson-Van Natta funeral home, 2 p.m. and at the Salem Lutheran Church at 2:30, Mr. Dallas Young officiating. Burial is at the Elmwood cemetery.
